Wow... It's Been a Year?

I can not believe its been a whole year since I last posted something!  Gosh, where has the time gone.

Well, I can say, that I kinda lost my creative muse for the better part of this past year.  It seems to be regenerating, so I am going to give this poor little blog another chance.  I will post a card that I made recently, later today.

Hopefully, what few followers I have, are still out there.

Thanks to all of you.

Creative Chemistry 101 Day 4...

Here is my next set of tags from my Creative Chemistry class:
These were a bit more challenging, the first tag was watercolored with Distress Re-Inkers. One thing I think was a bit of a problem was the water pens I was using... I will definitely getting Tim's water brush pens. The middle tag was a layered misting technique... which using spray inks really is not my strong suit. This technique will require a lot more practice to get the hang of it. The last one is made by creating a custom stamp pad. This was a really an interesting technique and worked out pretty well. I also made a card with this stamp and ink pad... pretty cool!

Creative Chemistry 101 Day 3...

Well, here is my Day 3 homework. Now the first tag on the left, is my favorite.. I've loved this technique since learning it at my Local Scrapbook Store (Thanks, Bonnie!) So this tag made up quick and easy. Now the second tag, in the middle... well, that one was a bit more involved. Its a resist technique, but not using embossing powder, since I couldn't find the right colors in the inks I needed, I used the colors that I could find. They don't pop, so the tag doesn't look as cool as it could. Once my local scrapbook store gets the colors in, I'm going to redo this tag, but for now I'll use this one for reference. The last tag is a technique using his Reflections Stamps. Since I didn't have those, I just used some background stamps I had from Close To My Heart.

Creative Chemistry 101...

Well, the other day, reading through my email... the update from Tim Holtz's blog caught my eye.. it was entitled Creative Process. Well, at first I thought it was a post of what inspires him and gives him his ideas.. but 'No' it was talking about a new online class, Creative Chemistry 101 that he is teaching. Since I could never afford going to one of his real classes, this was perfect for me... So I signed up!

It started on Monday, and since its a work at your own pace, I've been taking my time with it. The first day was getting familiar with your inks, and then day 2 we jumped in to making our technique tags. Here is my Day 2 homework:

I think they turned out pretty good... what do you think?

It's Not that I haven't Been Busy...

I just haven't been keeping up with my blogging! :o/ Over the next few days I will try to post some of the things I've made. Right now, I think I need to be working on a Sympathy card and my invites for the Ocala Christian Women's Club.

So.... TTFN (in my best Tigger voice)

A Couple of New Cards...

I made this card up for my brother-in-law's Birthday. I used the new Bo-Bunny Timepiece collection, the papers, stamps and pearls. I also used scrapper's floss and a button from my stash.

I also made up this card for one of hubby's customers. She recently lost her sister and then just a few weeks later the daughter of her sister. Been a rough year for her, so far.

For this card I used the new Bo-Bunny set, Gabrielle... again, papers & stamps. I also used my favorite ribbon... the Crepe ribbon!
I hope you enjoy seeing my latest cards...

My Latest Tilda...

This was my Spring card for the Priceless Scrapbooks blog, in February. I enjoyed making this card, but the real icing on the cake, was that my husband saw this card and said it was "Gorgeous!" This is coming from a guy who doesn't totally see the value of my "crayons, paper and paste" hobby! LOL

We had a wonderful evening last night.  We saw the movie, Gnomeo & Juliet, then went out to dinner.  I also received these lovely flowers.

Another Shameless Post...

This is another shameless plug for Gooseberry Patch cookbooks! I found this recipe here at Delightful Country Cookin' because she is an Early Bird Reviewer for Gooseberry, so this is one of the recipes she shared. Its called Special Chicken Noodle Soup. Since I'm not overly crazy about canned soup and never seemed to be inspired to make my own... I decided to give this one a try. Since I always have chicken on hand and the days were quite chilly, I thought this was a good idea. Well, its the Best idea I've had in awhile! This soup was So Good and So Creamy! Oh, and very, very filling. It took no time at all to make, a big plus for me, as I like simple meals that look really nice. This is getting added to my Favorites and I will be sending a copy of this to my son who is addicted to soup. You will definitely want to grab this recipe and make up a potful. I will also be adding the cookbook to my library... cause I know there are other wonderful recipes to be made. I grabbed the recipes that the other reviewers shared, as well and I will print those out and choose another one to make.

Here's where you can find the cookbook for this recipe as well as many other wonderful meals, desserts and other yummy goodies. While you're there checking out this fabulous cookbook, take a look around, they have so many wonderful books and even some e-books, so you can have your recipes sooner! Just click on the photo of the cookbook to go to their website. Enjoy!

Have a Happy and Blessed Day!

Here is the cookbook that I used for the recipe:

Last Minute Christmas Gifts...

Hello everyone! Here I am, running behind as usual :o/ These were last minute gifts for Christmas that I put together. I was not much in the Christmas Spirit this year, so just kinda waited for the Season to pass by. Not sure I'd liked it that way.

Anyway, I made these up using the 12 Days of Christmas Tutorials by Becky Roberts. I really like her projects and these were just too wonderful to pass up.

I used my Stamping Up Cardstock, DSP (Holly Jolly '09 & this year's set, don't remember the name) I think the stamp set is called Tags Til Christmas, or something like that... it was in the Christmas Mini.

I hope you like my project and would love to hear some feedback on them. Thanks for stopping by.

Sorrow...

I made this card for a dear friend whose husband just recently died. He had been sick for a while, but that still doesn't make it easy to say Good-Bye. Her faith in Jesus Christ and his Promises will sustain her at this time, so I wanted to send her a card to let her know I care.
I used Wisteria patterned papers and Stampin Up cardstock for the card, and Stampin Up stamp sets; Watercolor Trio and I forget the one. Ink is Close to Cocoa and I also used Nestablities Circle and Scalloped Circle. After seeing a photo of my card, I'm thinking its a bit plain and now wished I had added some rhinestones down in the bottom right corner. Oh, Well, its on its way and I know she will appreciate it.
Well, off to browse some blogs.

Trick or Treat...

I made this card up for the weekly challenge over at Totally Stampalicious, where the challenge was to make a Halloween card. So I saw this image set from Our Craft Lounge stamps and thought it was cute. Well, Tricia over at Priceless Scrapbooks just got them in last week... so I decided to get them along with a Halloween word set from Hero Arts. Well, then I needed Halloween paper... (I don't really fuss with Halloween) so I picked up the latest paper pack from Echo Park.. I'm really loving their papers too. The inks I already had, Black Tuxedo from Memento and various Ranger Distress Inks. What little coloring it needed was done with my Copics.
