Well, Terry, Ben & Kevin have been diligently working on the new back porch. They might have had it finished today if the darn rain would have let up.

Ran by the mall today with Angie and things are looking a lot like Christmas! Very Festive!

Still trying to decide how to make my blog look. Seems to take a lot more time than I'm willing to give, but I know if I just get the basics mastered, it'd be no big deal.
I want to add some pictures of the various cards and papercrafts I've made, so may work on that a little today.
Bye for now,

Need to get the hang of this...

Gosh... I just can't seem to get the hang of coming back and posting here. I need to learn a few things so I can post photos here. I know its got to be really easy, but hey... I'm a procrastinator! LOL

Monday, July 20, 2009

Well, this is sad... I haven't been back to my blog in 3 months! I need to learn how to post photos and also add links. If I could just make this a habit, maybe I could stay on top of it a bit more.

Well, in other news.. we added a new little pet to our menagerie... I got a little grey and white kitten. She is such a sweetie and loves to play. I have a large sunken bathtub that she discovered and loves to play in. Well, I tossed one of hubby's plastic practice golf balls and she just has a blast chasing it all over the tub. She stayed at it for more than 15 minutes. Since she is so comical, I went with the name Gracie... like Gracie Allan... LOL I zeroed in on the Grace part, because she really isn't very graceful. Somehow our cats end up with names that are opposite in someway to who they really are.

Well, I need to focus on getting some layouts and QPs done! Don't want the boss getting after me for being tardy!! LOL

Been a Busy Month...

Well, just a quick update... Things have been quite busy. Since my last post, I have been working in my little craft shop and also getting the house cleaned and squared away for our friend to bring up a youth group to stay while on Spring Break.

The first week of April was especially busy... Our church had a Community Outreach on Palm Sunday. We called it 3G Sunday, for Gather, Go, Give. We had about 15 groups of (gosh, I don't know how many) people, who went to various projects such as Habitat For Humanity, Interfaith, Arnett House, Kimberly's Kottage, and other local Charities. Each group had a different project to do, whether it was painting, cleaning, mulching, mowing, handing out food. I chose to give out food... we packed up box lunches and handed them out to the poor. We had wonderful responses for all of our projects and a lot of fun. If you want to see photos you can go to my Pastor's blog ( http://www.incourageu.com/ ) and scroll down to April 6, click on photos to start the slideshow.

On Monday we drove down to Orlando and Downtown Disney to meet our daughter, Susie and her family. We had a great evening with them and time spent with them and our darling granddaughter is always special. We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, and Emily was not too sure about the thunder & lightning storms in the restaurant. LOL

Then we spent the next two days, finishing up around the house for the kids to arrive on Wednesday. They arrived in the late afternoon and were here until Saturday. We had 7 boys and 4 girls, as well as the youth pastor and our friend. If I can figure out how to share photos I will add them later.

So now its back to a regular schedule which involves my Ocala Christian Women's Club on Tuesdays, Church of Hope Women's Bible Study on Wednesday evenings and BSF on Thursday morning. So with that, I'm off to work on my Bible Studies.

More again soon, ( I hope!)

How's it Look?

Well, been fiddling around with my blog this morning with the help of fellow Muse, Denise. So, How do you think it looks? I realize its not Purple... that will change... but right now I'm trying to learn my way around. Still have more to do, as I haven't figured out how to put the credit tag on.... so to give proper credit... This Blog wear was made my Kimberly Stewart, using In Memorium page kit by Rina Kroes and Kimberly Stewart.

That's all for now... I've got to get up and move around a bit.

Gonna Dress Things Up Around Here...

Well, I'm going to work on dressing up my blog so it looks more inviting. I have some friends who are going to help me learn my way around fiddling with this thing.

Debbie.... Thanks So Much for being my first follower!! Wow... now I'm accountable!! LOL

I hope to offer some freebies and such down the road. I enjoying making up hybrid projects and even want to try my hand at a few mini-kits, so this will be a fun stop on the cyber-highway.

Hugs & Prayers to all,
the Purple Princess
